We are giving a new roof installed and want to relocate the dish to a post.

You may wish to move your air conditioning unit for a number of reasons. As it turns out getting an ac system on your roof is not more expensive. It s an old home and it used spacepak high velocity cooling inside of home. Before a unit can be moved the unit must have the existing freon pumped down or back into it.

Essentially this system is one where a conveyer belt on a rigid platform extends directly from a truck up to the roof. The freon lines have to be emptied and evacuated re routed and reconnected then vacuum evacuated again then only a certified a c tech can legally buy enough freon to recharge the unit and they ll have the proper tools to do that. After all the roof is far off the ground and people have to get the system up there. Hey i own a townhouse in dallas which means crazy hot summers.

It may be too close to your home and too noisy or it may be placed on ground that is eroding. Your talking about moving the condenser unit from the roof to the ground. Currently the 2 zone central heat and air a c units are located ground patio level. I need to upgrade these units so i am also looking into moving them to the rooftop and reclaiming the patio space plus lack of noise.
